Use Facebook.
Step away from Reels.
A quick Facebook visit can turn into a run of short videos. FocusTube targets recognized Reels routes and selected visual distractions without blocking the whole site.
A boundary over Reels
Strict Mode displays a blocking overlay on recognized Facebook Reels routes. It does not automatically redirect you; the overlay’s exit action opens Facebook Home.
Optional visual hiding can remove detected Reels navigation, Stories, and People You May Know surfaces.
Other Facebook routes stay available
Ordinary non-Reels routes are outside this route block. FocusTube does not block the entire Facebook home feed. What remains visible also depends on the optional hiding settings you enable.
Choose your boundary
Route blocking applies while Focus Mode is enabled or a work timer is running.
- Strict
- Covers recognized Reels routes with a blocking overlay and an exit to Facebook Home.
- Warn
- Shows a warning on recognized Reels routes, with a scoped allow action.
- Passive
- Leaves direct Reels routes available. Configured visual hiding can still remove selected entry points.
A work timer uses Strict behavior even if you selected Warn or Passive. Timer breaks suspend blocking.
What to keep in mind
Facebook uses changing layouts and navigation surfaces. Hiding applies where the extension detects its target elements; it is not a promise to remove every short video that appears elsewhere on Facebook.
