Open Instagram.
Skip Reels & Explore.

Checking a message or visiting a profile does not have to start another Reels session. FocusTube targets Reels and Explore while leaving other Instagram routes available.

A boundary around Reels and Explore

FocusTube recognizes routes beginning with /reels/, /reel/, and /explore/. Strict Mode redirects these routes to Instagram Home. Warn Mode shows a warning with an allow action.

You can also hide detected Reels navigation and Stories. A separate, optional home-feed filter targets suggested and sponsored posts; that filter is off by default.

Stay for the people you came to see

Messages and profile pages are outside the Reels and Explore route block. The home route remains available, though your visual-hiding settings may change what appears there.

The optional post filter does not promise a feed made only of followed accounts, and it does not change how Instagram orders the remaining posts.

Choose your boundary

Route blocking applies while Focus Mode is enabled or a work timer is running.

Strict
Redirects recognized Reels and Explore routes to Instagram Home.
Warn
Shows a warning on those routes, with a scoped allow action.
Passive
Leaves direct routes available while your configured visual-hiding options can still apply.

A work timer uses Strict behavior even if you selected Warn or Passive. Timer breaks suspend blocking.

What to keep in mind

Post filtering uses structural cues and English labels where detected. Instagram layout and language changes can affect which posts or navigation elements are recognized. Hiding a post does not stop Instagram from loading more posts.
