TikTok makes it easy to move from one clip to the next. FocusTube places a boundary over recognized feeds and viewing routes, with a way out to Messages.

A blocking overlay on viewing routes

Strict Mode covers recognized TikTok routes with a blocking overlay. It does not automatically redirect the page. The overlay offers an exit to Messages.

Recognized routes include Home and For You, Following, Friends, Explore, search, live, and video or photo viewing routes. Supported locale prefixes are normalized before route checks.

Keep access to practical routes

Messages, upload, settings, feedback, and coin routes are outside this route block. FocusTube targets the viewing routes it recognizes rather than blocking the entire TikTok domain.

Choose your boundary

Route blocking applies while Focus Mode is enabled or a work timer is running.

Strict
Shows a blocking overlay on recognized feeds and viewing routes. The exit action opens Messages.
Warn
Shows a warning before continuing, with a scoped allow action.
Passive
Leaves recognized routes available during ordinary Focus Mode use.

A work timer uses Strict behavior even if you selected Warn or Passive. Timer breaks suspend blocking.

What to keep in mind

This is route-based blocking. A new or differently structured TikTok URL may fall outside the recognized routes. It does not filter individual videos by topic or alter TikTok’s recommendation system.
